Waxing 101
1) How to prepare for your wax:
* Hair must be at least ¼" long. So, no shaving for at least 2 weeks.
* Gently exfoliate within 24 hours before your appointment.
* Please shower or freshen up. Wet wipes will be available to use before appointment, as well.
* Resist the urge to shave in between appointments.
* It's gets better and easier every time you wax. Promise!

2) After care tips:
* Choose product for exfoliation and prevention. Your technician will recommend the best choice for you skin.
* Exfoliate 1-3 times per week but NOT within 24 hours AFTER your appointment.
* Moisturize daily. It's keeps the skin soft and healthy so when the new hair is ready to grow through the skin it will just slide right out instead of ingrowing.
* Wash skin directly after working out.
* If you have bumps that come up, DO NOT PICK. All you will do is scar your skin.

3) FAQs
1. What's the difference between bikini, modified bikini, and brazilian?
A bikini is if you are wearing a bikini swim suit, then anything on the outside of that would be waxed. The modified bikini is about one to two inches closer to the brazilian area. The brazilian is everything from the belly button to the tail bone.

2. Can I be waxed if I'm on my period?
Yes, you can. We highly recommend rescheduling your wax for the week after because you will most likely be extremely sensitive during this time. Therefore, causing more discomfort than usual. If you decide to still get waxed, we just ask that you wear a clean tampon.

3. What types of wax do you use?
We use hard wax for coarse, sensitive areas and strip wax for finer hair.

4. Can I wax during pregnancy?
Of course! It is completely safe. If you have any concerns please contact your doctor before your visit.

4) Common Side Effects:
*Over time the possibility for side effects usually reduce as the skin becomes more accustomed to the treatment. Any side effects that last more than a week or looks severe should be looked at by a Doctor.

* Ingrown hairs: There is no way to 100% prevent ingrown hairs but by exfoliating and moisturizing correctly it can decrease the chance of having them tremendously.
* Redness and swelling: This is the most common side effect. This is normally very short lived and can be minimized by a cold compress.
* Infections: This is a risk for those with conditions that could leave them inclined to this. Diabetic guests should be cautious or avoid waxing for this reason.
* Allergic reaction: If you fear of this, please ask your technician to perform a patch test prior to appointment.
* Bleeding and bruising: Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you could result in one or both of these happening. However, our technicians are fully trained to prevent these from happening as best as possible.
